OBJECTIVES OF THE SCHOOL

 

The general objectives of the school shall be in compliance with the national policy on education which states: 

  • Effective and smooth transition from home to school 
  • Preparing the child from early age of education. 
  • Providing conducive and adequate care and supervision for the children while their parents are at work. 
  • Teaching good habits especially health. 
  • Teaching co-operation and school spirits. 
  • Teaching the rudiments objects, numbers, letters, color, shapes and letter sound through play from an early age. 
  • Inculcating social norms to the children. 
  • Teaching the children through stories and personal examples the way to worship God. 
  • Teaching reading and writing early enough as to make the child read and write at an early stage of learning. 
  • Teaching right sounds and right phonics of all words from an early age. 

TO ACHIEVE THE ABOVE OBJECTIVES

  • The school has been carefully planned in terms of its rich classrooms and surrounding environment to stimulate thinking. Develop languages and to encourage creative explorations and problems solving, all within the frame work of individual security and safety. 
  • Stimulate instructional materials (Visual, audio and audio-visual) toys and infrastructures to be adequately provided to make the child play extensively with a purpose and team spirit. In this regard, there will be ample provision of play equipment, educational toys, picture books, effective teaching and learning aids. 
  • To stimulate their creative thinking, children are provided with building wooden bricks and puzzles, encouraged to draw and paint using clay to mold all sorts of objects in general and take interest in colored objects, figures and shape around them. 
  • There shall be provision of computers for teaching and learning.
