STUDENT’S CODE OF CONDUCTS

 

  • Loitering in the school compound and its vicinity between the hours of 7:30am and 2:30 or till 4:30 pm if there is lesson.
  • No truancy i.e playing away your time to shirk your duty, attendance at school and absence from school without permission.
  • No eating the classroom, especially during lectures or when a teacher is in class. Student caught in this act will be sanctioned.
  • No noise making in the classroom or disturbing (disruptive behavior) in the class with or without the teacher’s presence.
  • No tearing of leaves of notes or textbooks and writing or drawing at front cover or back of notes or textbooks, students caught will be surely sanctioned.
  • No throwing litters around the compound. Students are advised to make use of the dust-bin or waste paper basket provided for this purpose.
  • We have zero tolerance for malpractice, if any student is caught he/she will be disciplined and will automatically be scored zero in that subject.
  • The use of Pidgin English is not allowed.
  • Using phones (G.S.M) and electronic gadgets not duly authorized by the school authority is prohibited in the school premises during and after school hours.
  • When a child is sick and couldn’t write an exam, he/she will miss the exam and be scored zero except with a doctor’s report duly signed that he/she was sick.
  • There is zero tolerance against unhealthy relationship between students to students. Any child caught might lead to summary dismissal.
  • Failure to copy notes, do assignments or carry out project works and any other curricular activities assigned to them by the teachers and school authorities might lead o suspension from school.
  • Fighting or physically harming others is not allowed.
  • Laziness is prohibited.
  • Indulging, whether at home, school or elsewhere, in cultism, swearing, indecent language, smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages, gambling and promiscuity are highly prohibited.
  • Possession of arms or explosive in the school or outside is prohibited.
  • No lateness to school, all students are expected to be on the Assembly/morning devotion before 7:45am. When a student comes late to school, the students are expected to see the teachers on duty before going to the assembly ground.
  • When an announcement is being made at the assembly students are only expected to listen attentively and not to be involved in roaring, humming, hooting and whistling.
  • All classrooms must be swept before morning assembly and remain tidy throughout the day.
  • All students must obey their prefects, teachers, vice principals and the principal. All cases of disobedience, assault, fighting, stealing, vandalism, willful destruction of school property are punishable.
  • Students must carry out duties assigned to them by the prefect and teachers. Such duties include compound sanitation e.t.c.
  • The classroom should be clean and tidy before the teacher come into the class and the students ready with books. Students without recommended textbooks/materials will be sent out of the class.
  • All students must take part in extra-curricular activities such as Games (inter-House sport) at the appointed times.
  • All students are required to wear the school uniform during school hours. The uniform must be from the school to allow uniformity.
  • Students should ensure they are tidy at all times (well dressed) belt properly tied, no flying shirts and Well ironed uniform. The black school sandals well polished, and no wearing of slippers to the school.
  • Only the school cardigans (sold by the school) must be worn with the uniform.
  • The boys should have good hair. No perming or weave-on is allowed for the girls. The school hairstyles should be strictly followed any student caught will be sanctioned.
  • Nail designs/painting, necklaces, dropping earrings, bangles and fanciful hairclips are not allowed.
  • All bells must be responded to promptly.
  • Indiscriminate absenteeism is prohibited.
  • Library, laboratory and other properties must not be destroyed by any student(s). If destroyed it must be replaced by the parents or guardian of that student.
  • Sick children must remain at home and get treated by a doctor before re-admission.
  • Punishment will be administered for all offenses.

Rewards will be distributed for good conduct, neatest students and good academic performances. It is important for you to know that the rules and regulations are made for your guidance, to help inculcate you discipline in you.
